... I almost deleted the unfamiliar e-mail address as more spam... That would
have been one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I would have missed out on
the opportunity to spend a couple of days with Mitch Bangert, a professional
fishing guide from Wyoming, USA.
Our
first days fishing following behind Mitch I thought I had spotted a fish
he had missed and put my dry fly in front of it. It moved away and my comments
got a laugh and advice to cast more towards a small willow tree close by, as
there was another fish just under it. His eagle-eyed powers of observation
hadn't missed either of those two fish; he knew they were there. He had just left
them alone for me to have a go at, What a gentleman!
Reflecting on our two days together I had been given an opportunity to fish
along side a true artist with a fly rod. His skill at casting a fly was one of
grace and his relaxed style of movement both in and out of the water was
obviously honed by many years of practice, something that I could only dream of
achieving in my own lifetime. I had just spent two days in the company of a true
expert, a master practitioner in the art of fly fishing and I would be the
better for it! My sincere thanks Mitch, you are one of Mother Natures Gentlemen!

Our family visited Mitch and Debbie at Harrison's Guest House in August of
2003. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend with great food, great
companionship, and the company of a fabulous fly fisherman! The location is
top notch for fly fishing enthusiasts, and the guest house is cozy and
family friendly. Mitch has such passion for his sport that it is infectious
to everyone around!
Best wishes for a wonderful experience with Mitch and Debbie in Saratoga
Springs!

I have been fishing with Mitch for over 10 years and there is not another
person in the world that I'd rather share a piece of water with. I learned
more in my first year fishing with him than I had in my first 30 years of
life. He is a scholar, poet and a champion to all things finned!

To Whom it may concern,
Fishing with Mitch: Lively times in the club house; great craftsmanship on
the river; patient teacher to all. Unforgettable experience and beautiful fish
too.

Hi Mitch,
This is to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed both of our visits at
your guesthouse. For you to find a hidden lake where you caught six brookies
in
20 minutes is amazing. On the trip when we were able to float the river I
loved
your naturalist tales from "spinner falls" to "dead drifts" and how that
knowledge led to bringing many good fish to hand.
Most of all we enjoyed your relaxing good-natured hospitality.
We feel a friendship that means this will be an annual event. Good luck.
